Job Shadows are a 1 day, 2-4 hour experience for students who have completed basic career research in the 10th Grade English Career Unit or researched careers on their own. Goals of the program: students will observe a career interest; be able to ask questions about the pathways available in the career; gain network connections that may provide opportunities such as scholarships or part-time/summer jobs or internships; and will be able to write a professional introductory & thank you letter. Students can job shadow up to 3 times a year, more are determined on a case-by-case basis
Job shadows can be arranged with family & friends, however these need to be arranged outside the school day. Students arranging job shadows on their own and during the school day need to get permission in advance from the Career Coordinator and complete required paperwork.
