Registered Apprenticeships are a valued post-secondary education, training and employment option available in the US. Registered Apprenticeships are business and industry-driven which means that each state, and region within a state; may vary in the Apprenticeships offered depending on industry needs. Apprenticeships are available in such industries as: construction, manufacturing, transportation, telecommunications, information technology, biotechnology, retail, health care, the military, utilities, security and the public sector.
For students interested in going directly into the workforce Apprenticeships can be a bridge between post-secondary education and the labor market. Apprenticeships may require testing such as basic skills, physical and drug testing. Applicants must be 18 years of age.
