I hope you had a good summer, some time to decompress and are ready to start the year off right. As you know we are in a hybrid/online learning mix. What that means for job shadows, tours and college/military visits is, that for now we will be in all virtual mode. College & Military visits will all be online. This is a benefit because we can reach a wider group of colleges.

The Career Center hosts a variety of College Admission Reps and Military Recruiters. on the Post-Secondary Page of the Career Center Website and can be access by clicking HERE. If interested in attending a college visit you must sign-up in advance by clicking HERE. Keep in mind that colleges may cancel the visit if students have not signed up. All of our visits for the first semester will be virtual visits.

Students were able to get a look inside a Mock Control Room at Excelon while also hearing about Nuclear Power and some careers available in the Nuclear Power field.

During a Protection L&L students were able to find out about careers as a firefighter and put on equipment.

Students attended Augustana College for a trip to learn about Filmmaking with FreshFilms, an Independent Film company who is passionate about teaching the next generation of filmmakers.
Students attended CornCon where they learned about Cybersecurity.

During an Animal Careers L&L students heard from Vets, Agriculturist, Farmers, Zookeepers and a K-9 Unit Officer.
Materials Science Day Camp is an annual event for students interested in Materials Science & Engineering.
